To achieve world class standards of excellence in the field of engineering education and further, to act as a catalyst in supporting research and development in the industry, we pay a great deal of attention to the resources provided to the students.
Central Library
Central Library at S.P.I.T. has more than 15,000 books and subscribes to 21 National and International periodicals along with several online journals. The library has obtained online membership of IEEE and ACM and Institutional Memberships of British Council Library (BCL), Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai, and Developing Library network (DELNET) New Delhi. A bibliographic database searching is possible through the DELNET. Internet connectivity is available through a network in the library. The library also has a audio-visual room for students to view its large collection of CBT courses where 40 students can sit at a time. CCTV installed here is fruitfully utilized for sharing lessons, conference proceedings, college notices and emerging messages etc, amongst students and faculty.
Central Computing Facilities
The Central computing facility is open for all the students. Each of the department has got its own specialized lab for software development activities in various disciplines. Business India weekly magazine made a special mention of the state-of-the art Linux lab. Total number of nodes in the college is 400+ and growing.
Language Laboratory
The language laboratory is a pioneer initiative undertaken to encourage student in taking up CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning). It has a collection of CD’s and other material in the form of cassettes and books on topics ranging from vocabulary, spelling and grammar to managerial communication.
E-Cell
The institute is a member of the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). An E-cell was formed in 2006 to promote and encourage entrepreneurial skills in students.
Conference Hall
The fully well equipped conference hall is an ideal place for conducting workshops, seminars, refresher courses, conferences and lectures by visiting faculty, professional bodies and organizations.
Gymkhana
Located on the first floor, the gymnasium enables students to enjoy a game of Table Tennis or try their skill at Carrom. The huge Bhavan’s ground is where the various college cricket events take place. Students as well as the college staff are actively involved in sporting activities.
Counseling
Our counseling services help the students to deal with difficulties of a personal or academic nature, which arise in the course of their studies. The students can approach the counsellor with an appointment and can talk to him on a range of issues such as planning, decision making, problem solving, social and emotional development.
