Dear All,
It’s time again for the Annual SPCE Alumni Meet 2012.
The Annual SPCE Alumni Meet will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 05.30pm – 9.30 pm. you are invited along with your FAMILY for the Annual Reunion.
The Program Details of the meet are as follows:
- Date : 07/Jan/2012 from 5.30 p.m. – 9.30 p.m.
- Schedule
5.30 pm to 6.30 pm: Registration
6.30 pm to 7.45 pm: Alumni Interaction/Networking
7.45 pm to 8.15 pm: 1986 B.E. Batch felicitation
8.15 pm to 8.20 pm: Vote of Thanks
8.20 pm to 9.30 pm: Dinner
- We seek a nominal contribution of Rs. 500 per family during the event.

The Class of 1986 is getting busy with planning for their Silver Jubilee Reunion & felicitation to be held during the same meet. Objective
Course Objectives:
- Hands-on Networking: The learn-by-doing approach is absolutely essential in data communications and networking. “Do Networking” at the hardware, software, simulation, configuration levels.
- Experimental Method: Interconnecting hardware, configuring network systems, measuring performance, observing protocols in action, and creating client- server programs that communicate over a network all help sharpen one’s understanding and appreciation.
- Tools: How to correctly use a variety of abstract tools (measurement, simulation, animation, experiment) for design and analysis of computer/network systems. The specific tools/platforms useful for networking research and advanced development.
- Hands-On Lab: Exercises throughout this course provide practical experience with TCP/IP internet- working issues and services, including:
- Deploying protocol analysis techniques for Internet protocols: IP, ARP, TCP, UDP and HTTP
- Troubleshooting TCP/IP networks with ICMP and ping
- Dissecting packet structure with Wireshark
- Utilizing, monitoring and securing Ethernet and Wi-Fi LANs
- Configuring TCP/IP on hosts and routers
- Testing cables and connections
