About SPIT

Keeping in view the growing needs of industry and society, we are committed to creating an environment, which will raise the intellectual and moral standards of our students. Our endeavor is to strive for the overall development of students, thereby enabling them to accept challenges. The provisional accreditation for 2 years was awarded by National Board of Accreditation for all UG programs with effect from 08.11.2013 to 07.11.2015. Institute has reapplied for NBA Accreditation and the application is in process. Application for Autonomy is in process with Maharashtra State.

About R 10

The IEEE Region 10, also sometimes referred as the Asia Pacific Region, comprises of Sections, Councils, 515 Chapters 60 Affinity Groups and Student Branches. It covers a geographical area stretching from South Korea and Japan in the north-east to New Zealand in the south, and Pakistan in the west. With a membership of it is one of the largest regions in IEEE.


Mission Statement

In order to fulfill IEEE’s mission of advancing the theory and practice of electrical, electronics, communications and computer engineering, as well as computer science and related areas, Region 10 activities are directed to developing and maintaining regional entities for the best interests and benefits of the IEEE members in the region. In order to fulfill IEEE’s mission of advancing the theory and practice of electrical, electronics, communications and computer engineering, as well as computer science and related areas, Region 10 activities are directed to developing and maintaining regional entities for the best interests and benefits of the IEEE members in the region.
To achieve that mission, the Regional activities include:

  • To formulate goals and objectives for the Region
  • To plan Regional operations, including budget preparation and approval
  • To report officer, financial operation and meeting reports to the Regional Activities Department
  • To plan and implement programs in support of the local organizational units in meeting the needs of the members of the Region
  • To plan and implement programs for the volunteer structure of the Region, for example, develop and implement leadership training
  • programs for volunteers and members to enhance their interpersonal skills, group skills and leadership abilities
  • To provide leadership opportunities for interested members to take an active role within the operations of the Region

Women In Engineering (WiE)

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering. Our goal is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. We envision a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

IEEE WIE strives to…

  • Recognize the outstanding achievements of women in electrical and electronics engineering through IEEE Awards nominations
  • Organize receptions at major technical conferences to enhance networking and to promote membership in WIE
  • Advocate women in leadership roles in IEEE governance, and career advancement for women in the profession
  • Provide assistance with the formation of new WIE Affinity Groups, and support ongoing activities
  • Promote IEEE member grade advancement for women to the membership grades of Senior member and Fellow
  • Facilitate the development of programs and activities that promote the entry into, and retention of, women in engineering programs
  • Administer the IEEE Student-Teacher and Research Engineer/Scientist (STAR) Program to mentor young women in junior and high schools



Objective of Conference

The objective is to create platform to facilitate knowledge sharing and provide support through highly interactive sessions designed to foster discussion and collaboration. WIE NLC focuses on Personal Security, Personal Health, Leadership Skills, Entrepreneurship, Inspiration to young generation.
